Volunteers play a very special role at Bumbershoot Children’s Theatre. As a volunteer, you can add to the fun and energetic Bumbershoot atmosphere while contributing your time to the Okanagan’s only theatre for children and families. We are currently looking for volunteers in the following areas:
Ushering at Bumbershoot is easy and fun, plus you see the show for free! Specific duties include taking tickets, showing guests to their seats and selling concessions before, during and after the performance. Ushers are required to arrive one hour before curtain and to help tidy up the theater after the performance. Our age requirement is 13 years old; children 16 and under must usher with an adult parent or guardian.
Do you love theatre and working with children? If so, this is the place for you! We have many opportunities for volunteers to help with Bumbershoot Children’s Theatre productions for children and families. Working backstage or in the constructing of a show is a rewarding experience that can develop skills and build new friendships.
