REGISTRATION POLICIES

 

We process registrations in the order in which they are received.  Registration for each class will be accepted until the class is full, or until the class begins, whatever happens first.  We may accept late registrations after the first day of class on a case-by-case basis.  

 

Registration:

In order to secure your spot, register early by emailing registration to:

register@bumbershoottheatre.com using the name of the class as the subject title.

Payment:

Payment is required to secure your spot in the class.  

 

Returned cheques:  

A $20 service charge will be attached to any cheque returned by the bank due to insufficient funds.

 

Class Size:  

We maintain strict enrollment limits.  Class size ranges from 8-24 depending on the age range of the students, and type of program. This does not include Young Performers programs, which are based on cast requirements.

 

Class confirmation:  

Within a week after you register, we will send you an email confirming your payment and your spot in the class.  Closer to the starting date of the class, we will send you a more detailed email confirming class dates, times, location and any other information you may need.

 

Cancellations:  

If you cancel at least one week prior to the class, we will give you a Bumbershoot credit that may be used for any other Bumbershoot programs (not including membership). Cancellations less than one week before the start date will receive a credit for half the class tuition.  

 

Cancellation by Bumbershoot:  

We will cancel a class if enrollment is insufficient, any tuition paid will be refunded in full.

 

Attendance:

We require students to attend every day of the classes in which they are enrolled, except in the case of illness or emergency.   

 

Financial Assistance: Work Study Programs

Students can volunteer for the theatre as front of house, production assistants, or backstage in exchange for tuition.  An application is required and those with financial need will be given priority assistance.

 

Medical/ Learning Needs

Parents/ Guardians are required to inform Bumbershoot at the time of registration of any allergies, or physical, emotional or learning needs their children may have.

 

Advertising and Publicity

Bumbershoot reserves the right to photograph and film students and their work for advertising and publicity purposes.  Parental permission is required at the time of registration.

Registration for all sessions is happening now, register early to ensure a spot.  Classes are subject to minimum numbers and will only run if we reach the required registration.
